The Campaign

Breast cancer awareness campaigns are everywhere. Most look the same. We reframed the brief entirely: DIY = Detect It Yourself. Not awareness — agency. The power every woman has to take control of her own health. The campaign ran 360°: QR codes at public locations, a brand collaboration with Amante (women's intimate wear), the main campaign film, an event for cancer survivors (Umang), and mammogram offers running alongside.

Why It Mattered

Most campaigns measure success in impressions. This one measured it in early detections. 2,000+ women found cancer in Stage 1 or 2 — directly because of the mammogram offers that ran alongside the campaign. The idea worked well enough in 2023 that Fortis brought it back in 2024, this time with an AI-generated film as the centrepiece. The Qutub Minar went pink. It won again.

The Solution

We found the human layer inside the industrial story. Fishermen guided home by Greaves engines. Farmers boosting yield through mechanisation. Cargo drivers making timely deliveries. Each execution placed a real human archetype at the centre, with Greaves as the silent engine. We then merged this with generative AI to produce photographic-quality visuals at scale — diverse stories without multi-location shoots.

The IHH Silver Award for the Fortis #DIY campaign was a public validation. The ~500 early-stage cancer detections that resulted from it were the real measure. NOFOMO is what happens when someone who's spent years doing this work at agency level decides to do it better, faster, and without the overhead.

01 — How to go live on Netlify (first time)
STEP 1
Go to netlify.com and sign up with your Google account

Use mayang@nofomo.world or your personal Gmail. The free plan is all you need for now.

STEP 2
Deploy your site — drag and drop

On the Netlify dashboard, look for the box that says "Drag and drop your site folder here". Drag the file NOFOMO_Website_v3.html into that box. Netlify will give you a random URL like amazing-cake-123.netlify.app — your site is live.

Important: Rename the file to index.html before dragging. Netlify needs the main file to be called index.html.
STEP 3
Connect your nofomo.world domain

In Netlify: Site Settings → Domain Management → Add custom domain → type nofomo.world → click Verify. Netlify will show you two nameserver values like:

dns1.p01.nsone.net dns2.p01.nsone.net

Go to your domain registrar (where you bought nofomo.world) → DNS Settings → replace existing nameservers with Netlify's. Changes take 10–60 minutes to propagate.

STEP 4
Enable HTTPS (free SSL)

Once your domain is connected, go to Site Settings → Domain Management → HTTPS → click "Verify DNS configuration" → then "Provision certificate". Takes 2–5 minutes. Your site will show the padlock in browsers.

02 — How to update the site after going live
METHOD A — Text changes (easiest)
Open the HTML file in any text editor and find-replace

On Windows: right-click the file → Open with → Notepad. On Mac: right-click → Open with → TextEdit (make sure it's in plain text mode). Use Ctrl+F (or Cmd+F) to search for the text you want to change. Make the edit. Save. Drag the updated file to Netlify again.

Recommended: download VS Code (free). It's a proper code editor that makes editing HTML much easier — colour-coded, with find-replace across the whole file.
METHOD B — Re-deploy on Netlify
Drag the updated file to Netlify → it republishes automatically

In Netlify: go to Deploys → drag your updated index.html → done. The site updates in under 30 seconds. Your URL and domain stay the same.

03 — How to add your photo (About page)
STEP 1
Prepare your photo

Best format: JPG or WebP. Size: under 500KB. Dimensions: roughly 600×800px (portrait). Name it something simple: mayang-photo.jpg

STEP 2
Find the placeholder in the HTML and replace it

In the HTML file, search for: founder-initials — you'll find a div block. Replace the entire founder-visual div with:

Option A: Use the live upload buttons (temporary — session only)

On the Work page, open any case study card. Click the image zones — you can upload images directly in the browser. They appear immediately. But they won't persist after you close the tab. Use this to preview how images look.

Option B: Hard-code the image into the HTML (permanent)

Upload your campaign image to Imgur (free) or Google Drive (get a shareable direct link). Then in the HTML find the cs-img-zone for that campaign and replace it:

QUICK WAY (live, session only)
Open a case study and paste the YouTube video ID in the input

On the Work page, expand a case study, find the video zone. Paste just the video ID (not the full URL). Example: for youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ — paste only: dQw4w9WgXcQ. The video embeds instantly.

PERMANENT
Hard-code the embed in the HTML

Find the cs-video-placeholder div for that case study in the HTML. Replace it with:

06 — How to add the NOFOMO logo once the vector is ready
STEP 1
Export the logo as SVG or PNG (transparent background)

Ask your designer for: SVG preferred, or PNG at 2x resolution with transparent background. Name it: nofomo-logo.svg

STEP 2
Replace the text wordmark in the nav

Find in the HTML:

<span class="no">NO</span><span class="fomo">FOMO</span>

Replace with:

<img src="nofomo-logo.svg" alt="NOFOMO" style="height:32px;width:auto">

Do this in the nav-logo anchor, the footer-logo anchors, and the hero badge. Search for nav-logo to find all instances.

07 — How to update client logos in the work page marquee
TEXT LOGOS
Search for marquee-item in the HTML and add/remove items

Each brand name in the scrolling ticker is wrapped in:

<div class="marquee-item">Brand Name</div>

Add new ones, remove old ones. Remember to update BOTH the original set and the duplicate set below it (the second set is needed for the seamless loop animation).

IMAGE LOGOS
Replace text with logo images when you have them

Use filter:brightness(0.4) to make logos dimmer/monochrome to match the dark aesthetic. Increase to 1 for full colour.
